Uncanny Vash often goes too monstrous to really be uncanny to me. I want a Vash that’s just slightly off.

He hears and sees things that others can’t and sometimes forgets. He somehow knows things you didn’t tell him. His eyes are slightly off, but you can’t tell why. You can’t tell if the color is too bright or if the sheen is a wrong color or if they flash a slightly different color if they reflect light in the dark.

Maybe his hair color is too bright for most blondes. His teeth might be a tiny bit too sharp, but it’s hard to tell because they’re not that big or that sharp, and modifying body parts to look more intimidating, even slightly, is a thing. And the priest he travels with also has teeth a little sharper than normal.

And he’s so nice that you forget all these things until he’s angry and it’s almost like a buzz in the air.

Facts about my OCs

  • Oya/Sorami was originally named the Storm Hero: Skyfall, a teacher at Shiketsu

Her family was also different in that her father's original name was Raiha, mother's was Malika, and she had two older brothers: Kumo and Rai.

Her fanbase lovingly called her Thundermom which she didn't mind

  • Chuso/Shukara's original name was Wasaburo, which is also his wrestling alias
  • Tenki Inoue's original name was Wakaba
  • Bofuu's original surname was Amakumo and Yukina was her cousin
  • Yingyue/Hoshihime was originally a middle-aged heroine with a husband and four kids. Her maiden name was Yorushima.
  • Parker's original hero name was Phase Change
  • The names of her children were Julius and Daria
  • My first OC to be shipped with Gang Orca was a Polynesian heroine named Nohea Kelekilo aka Rapunzel. Her Quirk was that she could control her hair.
  • Believe or not, Shingen is not my first fox OC. I had one named Kitsune Morijunin whose Quirk was called Kitsune's Blessing and she was a student. I think I might bring her back as Shigen's little sister or cousin...👀
  • Kagehiko's original original Quirk was that he could summon a hellhound (or a creature like it) made of shadows.

A frustrating part of the mainstream vegan “love all animals and protect the environment” mindset is the fact that things need to die in real-life ecology all the time but deer hunting season makes icky feelings and carp culls aren’t cottagecore

spontaneousmusicalnumber

The vegan “any animal death ever is morally wrong” mindset doesn’t hold up when:

We don’t have any of the large predators we used to (black bears, mountain lions, or gray wolves) but still retain large deer populations. If nothing is removing animals, they’ll quickly overload the carrying capacity of the environment and have massive losses to starvation and disease that can also pass on to livestock. Human hunters replace the large predators that our landscape can no longer support.

It’s kinder to euthanize an un-releasable hawk rather than try to find it a permanent home with humans. Wildlife rehabs have extremely limited space and resources and are usually run entirely on donated money and volunteer time. Only a few are large and stable enough to care for permanent residents long-term, and those spots are few and far between.

An invasive species poses a danger to threatened native wildlife. I will admit- Australian possums are adorable. But not in New Zealand, where they’re an invasive species that eats the eggs of ground-dwelling birds that previously had no such predators. The landowners I worked with replanting native bush, all native Maori, had no qualms about setting the dogs on them.

I don’t know how to end this except. Sometimes things just gotta die and acting otherwise just isn’t a realistic expectation.

Highlights from the notes over the past 6 months include a lot of angry vegans saying “you’re blowing things out of proportion, no vegans actually think like this!” and a lot of people who work in conservation and education saying “Every day. I have to fight people who think like this.”

As a bonus this post was originally inspired by the vegan who called me racist for saying we should kill invasive species

Okay so like real talk tho, how come the only member of Claw that gets arrested is Touichiro? I mean yeah he’s the boss but they all committed crimes how come Joseph Government didn’t put any of the super 5 or even the 7th division in the slammer?

Oh Joseph From The Government totally sucks at his job; he shows up at the HQ of a freaking terrorist organization to openly declare to the leader that he’s gonna take them down, somehow not taking into account that said organization leader has a fucking personal squad of powerful espers at his command who then swiftly kick Joseph Government’s ass, therefore leaving it up to a gang of middle schoolers to do his job for him. I guess we really can’t expect him to arrest more than one person at a time.

no offense to anyone personally but I think we are way too used to and comfortable with weekly releases and if that wasn’t already bad enough, it seems like most of you aren’t even patient enough to wait for the official release date my point is this industry moves way too quickly

The way that people treat with the medium of manga is interesting and sad because a lot of mangaka are disabled and becoming disabled because of the intense workload. The grace extended to legendary author-artists like Togashi should be how all these artists are treated, and more. Your favorite artists are destroying themselves to create the pages you consume and make judgments on and they deserve to take the time their bodies need to recover from these efforts. The weekly release schedule is literally hurting artists.

What’s worse is how they’re expected to do extra work unpaid like exclusive bonus illustrations for retailers and are expected to pay for assistants themselves. Licensing deals with adaptions are fucked up Gureishi is not the only one who has said an anime adaption did nothing for them financially Hideaki Sorachi of Gintama fame has also been open about how little money he has made from the hugely successful Gintama live action projects. Its so fucked up out there for them with no safeguards when their health fails them aside from living off of royalties, and this is an “improvement” from when publishers were fully okay roping manga artists into doing more than one serial at a time or lock them up in hotels with no sleep until they completed their manuscripts
